Ask me anything   Me- On the Internet!

Hi! This is my first blog and I am very proud of it! I am so excited that I can share my photographs and writing with everyone, and I hope you enjoy it also. If you want to ask me anything please do not hesitate to, for I have a whole blog page dedicated to it! Thanks! :)
On A Second Note: This blog is called With Pen and Camera so it has a lot of writing and photographs, but I have come to like putting music on my blog, and you can click on the little bar below to play any of the songs that have appeared in blog posts on my blog. And that's it. ;)

Update.

Here’s the thing. So thought that I could make my blogging experience different so here’s what I did. I created a new blog. Simple. A better new one. And I hope that you start to follow it if you have a tumblr. Or even if you don’t. it’s called onefishtwofishthreefourfivefish.tumblr.com

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

I have another song for all of you followers! You know, it’s funny that I post all of these mp3’s because when I first created the blog its purpose was to show off my writing and photography, but I guess I wasn’t satisfied. I have a finely tuned ear and I like to show-off my findings. I found the Friendly Fires through Teen Vogue magazine, and I have to say I am glad I did! Hope you like it!

Ok, so this is NOT my photograph like all of the others, but I thought I would blog it because it’s so cool! This was on a blog post from the Tumblr Staff Blog, so I gave them some credit by putting their blog link down there. (Thanks Tumblr Staff Blog!) Put on some music by listening to one of my audio posts, and it looks awesome! This guy has some funky moves. :P

I. Love. This. Song. Everyone only can assume that it is by another British singer that not hundreds of people have heard of, but Ellie Goulding is brilliant, hands down. Or as they may say in England “brill”, if they actually do say that. This song is called Under the Sheets. Her style is so different and I sort of like it. The sound keeps me on my feet and I am have heard some of her other songs, and the beat never sounds the same! If you haven’t heard this song you should definitely give it a listen, and when I mean she’s good, she’s good. She even got to sing at the after-party of the Royal Wedding! (So there’s proof!)

Someone Made A Song About [Ballet Flat] Shoes?!?! →

I don’t understand! When I was looking at the homepage of the NYTimes website, I looked to the right and saw a J.Crew advertisement. When I clicked on it it turned out to be a video, and playing was a song called “J.Crew” by Jenny.O. It was about their new ballet flat shoes, even though it doesn’t have anything to do with them. Either way it’s still a good song so I decided to post the link to it. (The mp3 download wasn’t working so I had to post the link instead of the individual song by itself on my blog.)

We’re Going On A Trip In Our Favorite Rocketship…. Well Sort Of.

When your school goes on a field trip what do you expect?
It will be educational. Umm, yes.
It will be outside. Possibly.
You will be bored or tired. For some people.
You will hear music, see something interesting or do something odd. Probably.
You will get wet. If you are outside or are going to a water park. (I wish!)
You will get to know someone else better. If you are in groups together, most likely.
You will go on a bus to get there. Definitely!
You will be with your friends. Another completely obvious one.
There will be animals. For me, probably fifty percent of the time.
You will have fun. Hopefully, YES!
What kind of field trips have you been on?

Ok….. So I don’t have an obsession with tigers or anything but they are really cool to customize on a photo-shop site. I found that this site was sort of like Picknik called BeHappy.com, so I gave it a try. They have some good features, and their test photo, a tiger, was free to everyone, so I just kept making them. They came out pretty well so I was satisfied with the site. I can keep adding more pictures to the photoset so be sure to make any suggestions! (You can do this by pretending to submit to my contest, or pretending to ask me a question.)

My Extensive Obsession with The Wombats (And How I Discovered Them)

Okay, so I haven’t posted for like a day or so, and I felt like I needed to. So I decided that I would write about a musical group (you could say “band”) called The Wombats. Before I talk about them, and how good they are (because they are really, REALLY, good), I am going to let you all know how I discovered them. (And don’t worry, because this story is not very long.)

One. I updated the theme of my blog, when I was in that phase where you are never happy what your theme is until you find the most perfect one, which I now have.

Two. In that theme this thing called “Streampad” was included and I had no idea what it was. (It looked cool though so I left it hanging there on my blog, even though at that point it had no purpose.)

Three. I researched this “Streampad” to find out that it was a music player. However, on the Streampad website there was the identical music bar (in a different color of course), but the difference was, it had music! So of course, I had to have mine have music on it too.

Four. On the Streampad site I found a link to this site called Spinner.com. Spinner had a bunch of free mp3’s, which were all by artists no one happens to know about, and I found I couple I liked, which I then downloaded to my computer.

Five. On the website Spinner, I also found a little button on the left side of the webpage that said free CD’s. This made me think, “Oh, a bunch of CD’s full of mp3’s that I could download all for free. Cool!” I clicked on that button.

Six. As it turns out, Spinner.com is not a generous as I thought they were, and they let you listen to the songs, but only if the webpage is open. I saw the spectacular cover art of The Wombats new album, This Modern Glitch, and then looked at it. (Keep in mind, at this point in time, I had no idea who The Wombats were.)

Seven. I thought the name of one of their songs, “Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)” sounded interesting, so I listened to it. This is the point, I think, when I realized the greatness of The Wombats. That song altered my view and style of music, and obviously my new favorite song.

Eight. Somewhere in between finding The Wombats album and listening to their songs, I was trying very hard to fix my blog’s script code (that is something “computer people” would understand, not myself I have discovered) so that my Streampad bar could play music. But it still wasn’t.

Nine. I came to the conclusion that this was not meant to be, and that little bar was just going to stay there as an “accessory” on my blog. Then I realized, after reading the “About Streampad” thing on Streampad’s website, that you had to post songs in order for your blog viewers to hear them. It took so long for me to understand that! (I know, that this is surprising.)

And that was basically it. I found another way to get the songs I wanted on my blog in mp3 format (a.k.a. the only type of media files Tumblr can use to play music) and now my Streampad player works! I love it, and especially the songs that are on it! Basically, expect to see more songs on my blog by The Wombats over time, because they will accumulate. And hopefully you will read this, listen to all of their songs, and become another obsessed fan of theirs, sort of like me. (School is still the most important.) I thought that my story was going to be a little shorter than this, but I guess I was wrong. The only thing I can say though is that I am disappointed that after going through all of those steps, I only got to nine and not ten. I feel like it is incomplete. But maybe not. ;)

School.

What is this school you talk of?
It’s a place where you go to learn things.
It’s a place where there are teachers who teach you things.
It’s where your brain gains more knowledge and becomes stronger and smarter.
It’s where you get homework (schoolwork you do at home).
It’s a place where you take tests and quizzes that test you on what you’ve learned.
It’s where you can find a challenge.
It’s a place where there are boys and girls that can become your friends.
It’s where you play sports, do art, and eat lunch.
Well, it’s school. What more can I say?

I found this song on Spinner.com. It was their MP3 of the week and is called “Be My Animal” by the Good Natured. (You can go to their website to find out more about it.)

Easter. And It’s Legendary Bunny

What is Easter?
The day when Jesus came back to life.
The day when a white, fluffy bunny known as the Easter Bunny comes and leaves you presents.
A day when your family goes out to eat together and to church to celebrate Jesus coming back to life.
A day when you go on Easter Egg hunts.
And you get lots of candy from those Easter eggs you found.
One day that you wait for every year, and it’s over until the next year.
